We recently stayed at Discovery Cairns before, between, and after Far North Queensland tours. Thank you for all you did to make this a good experience for us. It was exactly what we needed for our overnight accommodation: comfortable, central, low key, where we , repack, do our laundry, leave excess baggage till our return. We especially valued your friendly and helpful reception staff for whom no request seemed an imposition. We also loved the on site Vietnamese restaurant. Their honeyed prawns and green paw paw salad alone were worth crossing the Tasman for! We will certainly stay with you again when en route to Far North Queensland destinations. The free 'Foxtel' channels available in the 'Superior Room' was fantastic. The pools were nice and our room was fairly modern. And the cleaning service everyday was great. Dec 8. 09

Good morning, I recently came to Cairns for a conference and stayed at Discovery with the ACN telecommunications group. I just wanted to extend my thanks to you and your staff for a most enjoyable staff. We all had a great time and you all made us feel so welcome. Discovery is a place that I would gladly tell people about as an accomodation venue while visiting Cairns.I know people are quick to send letters of complaint if they were unhappy about services so I am sure postive feed back is a welcoming thing. From the moment we arrived, late at night, we were impressed with the hotel's organization and efficiency. Reception had closed, but the instructions given were spot on with regard to getting the key to my room. The next morning, while formally checking in, Martin, the man at the front desk, made suggestions for events and excursions that were perfect, not too expensive and fit into our time schedule. The rooms were quiet, clean and comfortable. And after traveling for two weeks, the laundry room was a huge success.

I was most impressed with how clean the room was, especially the bathroom. We only ate once at the restaurant but the food was wonderful and the presentation first class. I would certainly stay here again.
